Artwork Guidelines

A properly prepared file helps ensure your job prints exactly as intended and avoids delays in production. Here are the key things to check before sending us your artwork. For file formats, colour settings and delivery methods, see our Technical Information page.

Submission Checklist

• All fonts are embedded or outlined
• Text is legible and crisp
• Page layout is correct
• Margins meet requirements
• Artwork matches the specified dimensions
• Colours are in CMYK mode

Bleed and Margins

Add at least 3 mm of bleed to any image or design that extends to the edge of the page, so no white border appears after trimming. Keep text and other important elements at least 5 mm from the trim line to avoid accidental cropping.

Image Resolution

Photos and images should be at least 300 dpi at final print size. Outlined text or logos should be 1200 dpi. Where possible, use vector files (AI, EPS or PDF) for logos and line art — they scale without any loss of quality.

Colour

Please submit files in CMYK for the most accurate result — RGB colours can look different on screen than in print. For more on colour calibration and ICC profiles, see our Colour Settings page.

Digital Proofs

We provide a PDF as a digital proof to confirm layout and content — it is not a guarantee of exact colour, since screens render colour differently than a press. If colour accuracy is critical, contact us to request a hard copy proof.
